About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly competent Remote Process Engineer to contribute to various projects within the Oil & Gas sector . This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing process designs, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can effectively collaborate with global teams in a virtual setting, contributing to innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for new facilities and modifications.
- Perform process simulations and calculations using industry-standard software to optimize designs and operational parameters.
- Conduct technical reviews and hazard assessments, ensuring safety and environmental considerations are integrated into designs.
- Provide technical support to operational teams, remotely troubleshooting process-related issues and recommending solutions.
- Contribute to the development of operational procedures and training materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment.
