Remote Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Remote Production Planner to join their team and contribute to optimizing manufacturing schedules from anywhere in the UK. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing production plans to ensure efficient resource allocation, timely order fulfillment, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with various internal departments, including sales, procurement, and production floor management, to create and maintain accurate production forecasts and schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex scheduling challenges in a dynamic manufacturing environment, all within a fully remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, material availability, and production capacity.
• Monitor and adjust production plans in response to changes in demand, supply, or operational constraints.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Work with production supervisors to track progress against schedules and identify potential delays.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improving planning accuracy and efficiency.
• Communicate production schedules and updates effectively to relevant stakeholders across different departments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing setting .
• Strong understanding of production processes, lead times, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., ERP, MRP systems) and MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, crucial for a remote role .
