About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Remote Quantity Surveyor to join their fully remote team. This crucial role involves managing the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects remain within budget and deliver maximum value. You will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, risk management, and financial reporting, all conducted from your home office. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for new construction projects.
- Manage tendering processes, including procurement and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
- Process interim and final payments, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Produce detailed financial reports for project stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector, with a strong understanding of commercial and contractual principles.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in cost management software and digital collaboration platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
