Remote Senior Petroleum Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Senior Petroleum Engineer to contribute to their global asset development and production optimization efforts. Working from your home office, ideally near Portsmouth , you will play a key role in evaluating reservoir performance, designing well interventions, and implementing production enhancement strategies. This position requires a deep understanding of production operations and a strong ability to collaborate remotely with field teams and management. It's a fantastic chance to leverage your expertise in a fully remote capacity, impacting critical decisions affecting oil and gas production worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze well performance data, diagnose production problems, and recommend solutions to improve flow rates and recovery.
• Design and oversee artificial lift systems, stimulation treatments, and other well intervention activities.
• Develop production forecasts and economic models for various development scenarios.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geoscientists to ensure alignment between reservoir potential and production strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to field operations teams through remote communication tools and virtual platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 9 years of experience in petroleum engineering , with a focus on production and operations.
• Proficiency with production software, nodal analysis, and reservoir simulation tools.
• Solid understanding of wellbore hydraulics, thermodynamics, and artificial lift technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and remote communication skills, with a proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
