About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a skilled Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their entirely remote workforce. This vital role focuses on enhancing the value and performance of oil and gas assets through sophisticated analysis and strategic planning, performed from your home office. You will be responsible for developing detailed field development plans, forecasting production accurately, and meticulously evaluating reservoir performance using cutting-edge simulation technologies. This position offers the distinct advantage of contributing to global projects while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy of a remote-first work environment, collaborating with diverse international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive reservoir characterization, including performance analysis, volumetric calculations , and in-depth uncertainty assessment.
- Design and implement optimized reservoir management plans to maximize production efficiency and ultimate recovery rates.
- Utilize advanced reservoir simulation software to model fluid flow dynamics and predict future reservoir behaviour with high accuracy.
- Collaborate seamlessly with remote geoscience, production engineering, and drilling teams to ensure integrated subsurface strategies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and confidently present findings to a global audience.
- Continuously monitor reservoir operational parameters and propose data-driven optimization strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in reservoir engineering , with significant hands-on expertise in simulation and detailed analytical work.
- Proficiency with leading reservoir simulation software packages (e.g., ECLIPSE, PETREL RE).
- Strong comprehension of reservoir geology , petrophysical principles, and the interpretation of production data.
- Exceptional analytical prowess, strong problem-solving skills, and superior remote communication abilities.
- Previous experience with international oil and gas assets is highly desirable.
