About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Soil Scientist & Agronomist to join their innovative agricultural technology team. In this fully remote position, you will play a crucial role in advising on soil health, crop nutrition, and sustainable land management practices for a diverse range of clients across the UK. You will leverage cutting-edge data analysis and digital tools to provide expert recommendations, contributing directly to improved crop yields and environmental outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis of soil data, including physical, chemical, and biological properties.
- Develop customized agronomic recommendations for crop selection, fertilization, and irrigation strategies.
- Advise clients on best practices for soil conservation, nutrient management, and sustainable agriculture.
- Utilize remote sensing data and GIS tools to monitor crop health and field conditions.
- Collaborate with the wider agricultural technology team to develop and refine advisory services.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings and recommendations to clients virtually.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Soil Science, Agronomy, or a closely related agricultural discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in soil analysis and agronomic consulting.
- Proficiency in using soil analysis software, GIS, and remote sensing platforms.
- Strong understanding of soil chemistry, physics, and biology, as well as plant physiology.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
