About the Role

Our client is seeking a forward-thinking and strategic Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their fully remote procurement department, serving operations linked to Oxford and beyond. This role is pivotal in identifying, evaluating, and engaging suppliers to secure optimal terms, quality, and value for the organisation. You will leverage data analytics and market insights to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies that enhance supply chain performance and drive cost efficiencies. This is a 100% remote role, offering significant flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough market analysis and supplier research to identify potential sourcing opportunities.
• Lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing plans for key categories of goods and services.
• Manage competitive bidding processes, including RFPs and RFQs, and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Negotiate complex contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms and risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key strategic suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist or in a similar sourcing role.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies and achieving significant cost savings.
• Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
