Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Telecoms Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join their distributed team, supporting network operations from anywhere in the UK. Key Responsibilities

• Actively monitor network performance, availability, and security using sophisticated NMS and monitoring tools.
• Respond promptly to network alerts, alarms, and incidents, performing initial diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate engineering teams, providing detailed information and status updates.
• Perform routine network health checks and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network events, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of NOC procedures and best practices for remote operations.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment, preferably within the telecoms sector .
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP).
• Basic understanding of routing, switching, and network troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, essential for effective remote collaboration and incident reporting.
