Remote Telecoms Network Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Telecoms Network Planner to join their strategic planning team. Working entirely remotely , you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing the future infrastructure of our telecommunications network. This position involves forecasting capacity needs, planning network expansions, and ensuring that our network evolves to meet future demands and technological advancements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of telecoms network technologies, with the ability to develop robust, long-term strategic plans from a remote location.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop long-term capacity and network expansion plans for the company's telecommunications infrastructure.
• Analyze network traffic data and performance metrics to forecast future requirements.
• Design network topologies and solutions that align with business objectives and technological trends.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions for potential integration into the network.
• Create detailed network design documents, including schematics and implementation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure plans are feasible and cost-effective.
• Ensure all network plans comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements for the telecoms sector .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecoms network planning or design.
• In-depth knowledge of network technologies, protocols, and architectures (e.g., IP, MPLS, DWDM, 5G).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to model and forecast complex data.
• Experience with network planning tools and simulation software is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical for effective remote teamwork .
