About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Norwich . This role is crucial for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects. Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including grid connection, power conversion, and control systems.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability analyses for renewable energy installations.
• Select and procure electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and inverters.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems on-site.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards for grid connection and renewable energy technologies.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget in Norwich .

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on power systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with specific experience in renewable energy projects.
• Strong understanding of power system analysis, grid codes, and electrical safety standards.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as PSS/E, ETAP, or similar power system analysis tools.
• Experience with high-voltage equipment and substations is advantageous.
