About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Research Assistant to support their Pharmaceutical Sciences division in Stoke-on-Trent . This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a balance between laboratory-based research and remote administrative tasks. You will provide critical support in the development and testing of new pharmaceutical compounds. This is an excellent entry-level or early-career opportunity for an individual passionate about drug discovery and development, contributing to important projects within the Staffordshire area and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of laboratory experiments under the supervision of senior scientists.
- Prepare reagents, media, and solutions according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Contribute to data analysis and the preparation of study reports.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations and good laboratory practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field.
- Previous laboratory experience, ideally in a research or academic setting.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
