Key Responsibilities
- Perform molecular dynamics simulations and employ computational methods to study protein-ligand interactions.
- Utilize docking, virtual screening, and other computational techniques to identify and prioritize potential drug candidates.
- Develop and refine molecular models based on experimental data and theoretical principles.
- Analyze simulation trajectories and computational results to derive meaningful biological insights.
- Collaborate with medicinal chemists and biologists to support ongoing drug discovery programs.
- Prepare research findings for publication and presentation at scientific forums.
Requirements
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computational Biology, or a related field with a strong focus on molecular modelling.
- Demonstrated experience with molecular dynamics software (e.g., GROMACS, AMBER) and computational chemistry packages.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for data analysis and automation.
- Good understanding of structural biology and drug discovery principles.
- Ability to interpret complex simulation data and communicate findings effectively.
- Enthusiasm for scientific research and collaborative problem-solving.
