Research Scientist - Molecular Biology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Scientist to join their dynamic Molecular Biology team in the renowned scientific hub of Oxford . You will be responsible for designing and executing complex experiments, analyzing data meticulously, and contributing to the interpretation and publication of novel findings. Key Responsibilities

• Design, perform, and optimize molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, cloning, and cell culture.
• Investigate gene function, protein interactions, and cellular pathways using various experimental approaches.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, employing appropriate statistical methods.
• Prepare detailed experimental reports, contribute to manuscript writing, and present findings at lab meetings and scientific seminars.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety regulations and lab protocols.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or MSc in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related life science discipline.
• Proven experience in molecular biology techniques and a strong understanding of fundamental principles.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and transfection techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation using relevant software.
