About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Scientist to join their dynamic Molecular Biology team in the renowned scientific hub of Oxford . This role is integral to advancing groundbreaking research in areas such as gene editing, protein expression, and cellular function. You will be responsible for designing and executing complex experiments, analyzing data meticulously, and contributing to the interpretation and publication of novel findings. Key Responsibilities
- Design, perform, and optimize molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, cloning, and cell culture.
- Investigate gene function, protein interactions, and cellular pathways using various experimental approaches.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, employing appropriate statistical methods.
- Prepare detailed experimental reports, contribute to manuscript writing, and present findings at lab meetings and scientific seminars.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety regulations and lab protocols.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or MSc in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related life science discipline.
- Proven experience in molecular biology techniques and a strong understanding of fundamental principles.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and transfection techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation using relevant software.
