About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Research Scientist with a strong background in Molecular Biology to join their state-of-the-art research facility in Liverpool . This critical role involves leading complex research projects focused on understanding disease mechanisms at the molecular level and developing novel diagnostic or therapeutic strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and optimize advanced molecular biology experiments relevant to disease research.
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets generated from techniques such as qPCR, next-generation sequencing, and western blotting.
- Develop and validate novel molecular assays and methodologies.
- Mentor and provide scientific guidance to junior research staff and technicians.
- Contribute to the writing of research papers, grant proposals, and internal reports.
Requirements
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in molecular biology research.
- Proficiency in a wide range of molecular biology techniques, including cloning, PCR, gene expression analysis, and protein analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage research projects and troubleshoot experimental challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
