About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced Residential Architect to join their thriving practice in Edinburgh . This role centres on the design and delivery of high-quality private residences, from contemporary new builds to sensitive refurbishments of existing properties. You will engage with clients throughout the design process, translating their aspirations into beautiful, functional, and comfortable homes. This position offers the chance to work on a diverse range of residential projects across Scotland , contributing to the creation of desirable living spaces and building a strong reputation within the residential architecture sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop architectural plans for new residential properties and extensions.
• Manage projects from initial client consultation through to construction completion.
• Prepare detailed drawings, visualizations, and specifications for residential projects.
• Ensure designs comply with current UK building regulations and planning requirements.
• Liaise with builders, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Explore innovative and efficient design solutions for modern living spaces.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect (ARB registered) with a portfolio showcasing residential design expertise.
• Minimum 4 years of experience focused on the residential sector.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
• Strong understanding of residential construction techniques and materials.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Scottish building standards and planning regulations.
