About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and organized Retail Operations Supervisor to support the management team in Portsmouth . You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the store, focusing on operational efficiency, stock management, and team support. This position is crucial for maintaining high standards of store presentation and operational excellence. You will be instrumental in assisting with staff supervision, inventory control, and upholding the customer experience that defines our client's brand, working closely with the Store Manager to achieve targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
• Manage inventory levels, including stock counts, receiving, and dispatch, to minimize discrepancies and out-of-stocks.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently met across the store floor.
• Provide guidance and support to retail staff, assisting with training and performance monitoring.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance with health, safety, and security procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail operations or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of stock management, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to lead and motivate a team.
• Proficiency in using retail POS systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
