Are you passionate about supporting children to thrive both emotionally and academically? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and engaging junior school in Farnborough for a temporary position supporting a SEN child 1:1 with ASD.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support to succeed in the classroom.
The Role
As an LSA, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support the pupil with behavioural needs. You will help create a positive learning environment, promote appropriate behaviour, and provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support for an SEMH pupil Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans Help develop social and emotional skills Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with SEND children, ideally in a school or support setting Be patient, calm, and resilient under pressure Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be passionate about supporting children’s development and wellbeing Be able to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
