About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Analytical Chemist to join their established quality control and research laboratory in Portsmouth . This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of their diverse product portfolio through rigorous analytical testing and method development. You will utilize advanced analytical instrumentation and techniques, troubleshoot complex analytical challenges, and contribute to the development and validation of new testing methodologies. This on-site position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of scientific integrity within a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
- Perform routine and non-routine analysis of samples, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and resolve complex method-related issues.
- Interpret analytical data, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to regulatory and R&D teams.
- Contribute to quality risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP, ISO).
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an analytical chemistry role, preferably within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or biotechnology industry.
- Extensive hands-on experience with various analytical techniques and instrumentation (HPLC, GC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR).
- Strong understanding of analytical method validation principles and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to meticulous detail.
