Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Automotive Electrical Engineer to join their advanced engineering team in Manchester . Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical architectures and schematics for vehicle systems, ensuring robust and reliable performance.
- Specify and select electrical components, including ECUs, sensors, actuators, and wiring harnesses, meeting technical requirements.
- Lead the integration of electrical systems, coordinating with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless implementation.
- Conduct electrical performance testing, troubleshooting, and validation to identify and resolve design issues.
- Author technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and integration guidelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on electrical design best practices within the automotive sector.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in automotive electrical system design and development.
- Expertise in electrical system simulation tools and schematic capture software (e.g., Altium Designer, PSpice).
- Deep understanding of automotive electrical standards, EMC/EMI principles, and diagnostic procedures.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex electrical projects from concept to production.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work effectively within a dedicated, on-site engineering team in Manchester .
