About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Senior Aviation Project Manager to lead critical projects within their expanding aerospace division. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of complex aviation initiatives, from conception through to successful delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent stakeholder management skills. Based in our Sunderland facility, you will work with a dedicated team of engineers, technicians, and operational staff, driving innovation and excellence in aviation development, contributing to a culture that values precision and forward-thinking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of major aviation projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive solutions to overcome challenges.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, large-scale projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, technically demanding, on-site environment.
