About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join their thriving SaaS product team, working remotely. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the core services and APIs that power their industry-leading software-as-a-service platform. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, a passion for writing clean and efficient code, and the ability to contribute to architectural decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to industry best practices.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a proven track record in building and scaling web applications.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#) and associated frameworks.
- Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote environment.
