About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Buyer for their fully remote purchasing team, specializing in indirect goods and services. This pivotal role demands a strategic leader capable of managing complex spend categories, driving significant cost savings, and fostering strong supplier partnerships across diverse markets. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing category strategies, leading high-stakes negotiations, and ensuring robust contract management. The ideal candidate possesses excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of indirect procurement, and the ability to excel in a collaborative, virtual work environment, contributing significantly to the company's operational efficiency and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic sourcing and procurement of a broad range of indirect goods and services, including MRO, facilities management, professional services, and marketing.
- Develop and execute comprehensive category management plans to optimize spend, mitigate risks, and drive value.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and supplier assessments to identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
- Lead complex negotiations with key suppliers, securing favorable pricing, terms, and service level agreements.
- Manage and oversee the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance and effective supplier performance.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across all departments to understand their needs and deliver tailored procurement solutions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in strategic procurement or sourcing , with a significant focus on indirect categories.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading complex negotiations, contract development, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret spend data and identify strategic opportunities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, adaptable to a remote setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
