About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to provide leadership and enhanced support within their care facility in Nottingham . In this role, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their care needs, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of the care unit. You will ensure that high standards of care are maintained, dignity is preserved, and residents receive personalised attention. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents, adhering to individual care plans.
- Assist with medication administration as per prescribed protocols.
- Mentor and guide junior care staff, offering support and sharing best practices.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff or manager.
- Contribute to the development and review of care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all residents.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant, with demonstrable experience in a senior or lead capacity.
- Strong understanding of care planning, safeguarding, and infection control principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a team.
