About the Role
Our client in Bristol is seeking a highly capable Senior Chemical Engineer to lead critical capital projects. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise and excellent project management skills. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from conception through to commissioning, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This is a challenging and rewarding position for an experienced engineer looking to take on significant project responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major capital projects within the chemical processing facilities.
- Develop project scopes, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Oversee the work of engineering contractors and internal project teams.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including operations, management, and external suppliers.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or equivalent, with a degree in Chemical Engineering .
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the chemical or process industries.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience with P&ID development, equipment specification, and HAZOP studies.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
