Senior Chemical Process Engineer (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and scale-up of chemical processes, from conceptualisation to commercialisation.
• Optimise existing manufacturing operations to improve throughput, reduce energy consumption, and minimise environmental impact.
• Perform rigorous process simulations, heat and mass transfer calculations, and thermodynamic analyses.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments and hazard studies (e.g., HAZOP) to ensure process safety.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in chemical process engineering, with a strong focus on design and optimisation.
• Proficiency with industry-standard process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) and data analysis tools.
• In-depth knowledge of reaction engineering, fluid dynamics, separation processes, and process control.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex projects in a remote setting.
