About the Role
Our client is looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join their technology leadership team in Nottingham . This role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with business objectives. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and business units to translate complex requirements into robust cloud architectures. Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect resilient, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP .
- Lead the technical design and implementation of cloud migration strategies and projects.
- Develop and maintain cloud governance, best practices, and standards to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on cloud technologies and best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance capabilities and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud computing , with at least 3 years in a Solutions Architect role.
- Proven experience designing and deploying complex solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity management, and cost optimization.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
