About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Computational Biologist to join their fully remote research team. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement sophisticated computational and statistical analyses of large-scale biological datasets.
- Develop and apply algorithms for data mining, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling in biological contexts.
- Collaborate with experimental teams to define research questions and guide experimental design from a computational perspective.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines for processing and analyzing high-throughput sequencing data.
- Interpret complex biological data, identify key findings, and effectively communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computational biology, bioinformatics tools, and relevant biological domains.
Requirements
- PhD in Computational Biology , Bioinformatics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant industry or academic research experience with a focus on biological data analysis.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python or R, and experience with bioinformatics software and databases.
- Strong understanding of molecular biology, genetics, and drug discovery processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a distributed, collaborative team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong desire to contribute to scientific innovation.
