About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team in Leeds , focusing on advanced energy management systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced control algorithms and logic for energy management systems.
- Configure and commission Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for energy applications.
- Develop and maintain system HMI/SCADA interfaces for monitoring and operator control.
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for control system issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with plant operations and other IT infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in control systems and energy management to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in control systems engineering , with specific experience in energy management or power systems.
- Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and DCS configuration.
- Experience with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA).
- Knowledge of energy markets, grid operations, and renewable energy integration is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
