Senior Corporate Lawyer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Corporate Lawyer to join their esteemed legal team based in Aberdeen, Scotland . This pivotal role involves advising a diverse range of clients on complex corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate finance. You will be instrumental in managing client relationships, mentoring junior associates, and contributing to the strategic development of the firm's corporate practice. Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, including company formations , reorganizations, and dissolutions.
• Manage and execute complex M&A transactions, from initial due diligence through to completion.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal agreements, including shareholder agreements, partnership deeds, and service contracts.
• Provide expert legal counsel on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements relevant to UK companies.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive legal opinions and memoranda.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years' post-qualification experience in corporate law , preferably within a reputable law firm.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling complex cross-border transactions and advising on corporate finance .
• Strong understanding of UK company law and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client-advisory skills.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.
• Qualified solicitor or barrister admitted to practice in Scotland or the UK.
