About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for a fully remote position. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of advanced security solutions that protect our client's complex IT infrastructure. You will lead initiatives to enhance our security posture, respond to sophisticated threats, and ensure the resilience of our systems against evolving cyber risks. This position demands a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset, capable of driving security innovation from a remote setting. You will act as a key technical advisor, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all aspects of the technology lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-level security technologies and platforms.
- Develop and maintain robust security architecture documentation and standards.
- Conduct in-depth threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
- Oversee incident response activities for complex security breaches, ensuring minimal impact.
- Automate security processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor junior security engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field; extensive experience can substitute for a degree.
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering , with a focus on system design and architecture.
- Expert knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), and security frameworks.
- Proven experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
