Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their dedicated security team in Brighton . This role is essential for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cybersecurity defenses to protect the organization's digital assets. You will be involved in advanced threat detection, incident response, and security architecture, working closely with IT operations and development teams. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks in a dynamic technological landscape, ensuring the highest level of security for our Brighton -based operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests.
• Lead the incident response process, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps ).
• Monitor security systems and analyze threat intelligence to proactively identify and address potential risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in network security, system security, and application security principles.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM , vulnerability scanners, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
