About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Data Scientist specializing in Financial Markets to join their innovative, remote-first team. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models for financial forecasting, anomaly detection, and algorithmic trading.
- Analyze large, complex financial datasets to identify trends, correlations, and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and translate business needs into data science solutions.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ensure the integrity and quality of data used for analysis.
- Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's technical growth and best practices.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science, with a strong focus on financial markets or quantitative finance.
- Expertise in Python or R, and proficiency with data science libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong experience with SQL and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Demonstrated ability to apply statistical and machine learning techniques to real-world problems.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working effectively in a fully remote environment.
