Senior Data Scientist - Financial Markets

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Data Scientist specializing in Financial Markets to join their innovative, remote-first team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models for financial forecasting, anomaly detection, and algorithmic trading.
• Analyze large, complex financial datasets to identify trends, correlations, and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and translate business needs into data science solutions.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ensure the integrity and quality of data used for analysis.
• Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's technical growth and best practices.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, with a strong focus on financial markets or quantitative finance.
• Expertise in Python or R, and proficiency with data science libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong experience with SQL and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Demonstrated ability to apply statistical and machine learning techniques to real-world problems.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working effectively in a fully remote environment.
