About the Role

Our client seeks a seasoned Senior Drilling Engineer to contribute to their operations based in Milton Keynes . This role is essential for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling campaigns, from planning to execution. You will be responsible for designing well plans, managing drilling operations, and implementing innovative solutions to overcome technical challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drilling programs and well proposals, including contingency plans.
• Supervise and coordinate drilling operations, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
• Select appropriate drilling equipment, fluids, and techniques for optimal performance.
• Manage drilling risks and troubleshoot issues encountered during operations in real-time.
• Conduct post-drilling analysis and performance reviews to identify lessons learned.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in drilling engineering , with hands-on operational exposure.
• Strong knowledge of drilling hydraulics, cementing, well control, and directional drilling.
• Proficiency in using drilling simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage field operations effectively.
