About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with a specialization in automation to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and implementing automated electrical systems that enhance efficiency and productivity across various industries. You will work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the seamless integration of automation technologies. This position offers the flexibility of a remote-first approach, allowing you to contribute from anywhere while impacting industrial processes significantly.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated electrical control systems, including PLC programming , HMI development, and SCADA integration.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for automated machinery and processes.
- Specify and select appropriate automation components, sensors, and actuators.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of automated systems, providing remote support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and automation issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong focus on industrial automation .
- Proficiency in programming logic controllers (PLCs) from major manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Experience with human-machine interfaces (HMIs) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Solid understanding of robotics , servo systems, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
