About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Industrial Engineer with a focus on Automation to join their operations in Sheffield . This role will be central to modernizing their production lines and operational processes through the implementation of advanced automation technologies. You will analyze requirements, design automated systems, and oversee their integration to enhance efficiency, safety, and output. This hybrid position allows for both on-site system development and remote strategic planning, contributing to the technological advancement of their industrial capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automated systems and processes to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
- Evaluate existing manual processes and identify opportunities for automation, recommending suitable technologies.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal engineering teams on the selection and integration of robotic and automated equipment.
- Develop control logic, PLC programming, and HMI interfaces for automated machinery.
- Ensure that all automated systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automated production lines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong specialization in automation and robotics .
- Proven experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
- Knowledge of robotic systems, automated material handling, and process control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to automation integration.
- Ability to manage projects and work effectively in a team environment.
