About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Aberdeen, Scotland . You will be instrumental in ensuring the technical integrity and performance of electrical designs, from conceptualization through to final commissioning. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation, adhering to industry standards and client requirements.
• Oversee the development of electrical schematics , single-line diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software.
• Conduct detailed engineering calculations , load analyses, and safety assessments to ensure system reliability and compliance.
• Manage electrical project components, including material procurement, vendor selection, and site installation supervision.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and process engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering their professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in a similar senior engineering role, preferably within the oil and gas or renewable energy sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards (e.g., BS 7671), and best practices.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and simulation tools.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to innovation.
