About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Event Coordinator to manage and execute a wide range of catering events in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of events, working closely with clients to understand their vision and translate it into a seamless and memorable experience. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic environment. You will be a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of event planning, including client consultations, venue liaison, budget management, and vendor coordination.
- Develop detailed event timelines and run sheets, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during events promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event coordination or management, preferably within the catering or hospitality sector.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for client relationship management.
- Proficiency in budget management and negotiation.
- Ability to remain calm and resourceful under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for event schedules in Edinburgh .
