About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Senior Exploration Geologist to join their dedicated team in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role is pivotal in identifying and evaluating new mineral resource opportunities. You will be responsible for planning and executing exploration programs, analyzing geological data, and making critical recommendations for future exploration efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong field background combined with advanced analytical skills and a deep understanding of mineral deposit formation. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute exploration programs for various mineral commodities.
- Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and data collection in diverse field environments.
- Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify targets for drilling and further evaluation.
- Manage drilling programs, including core logging, sample selection, and quality control.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and resource estimates.
- Collaborate with other geoscientists and engineers to integrate exploration data into overall project development.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Geology or a related earth science discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a focus on target generation and evaluation.
- Proficiency in GIS software and geological modeling platforms.
- Strong understanding of deposit modeling and exploration techniques for various mineral systems.
- Excellent field skills, including mapping, prospecting, and core logging.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead exploration teams in remote locations.
