Senior Frontend Developer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Frontend Developer to join their remote engineering team, based near Sheffield . You will be responsible for developing and implementing user-facing features using modern web technologies, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. This role requires strong expertise in JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS, along with a deep understanding of responsive design principles and performance optimization. You will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and backend developers to translate concepts into high-quality, functional web applications, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality frontend code using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into functional, responsive, and accessible web pages.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate effectively with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues, implementing effective solutions to enhance user experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend web development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Extensive experience with at least one major JavaScript framework (React, Vue.js, Angular).
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex) and build tools (e.g., Webpack).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous request handling, and common frontend testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
