Key Responsibilities
- Design, document, and prototype core gameplay systems, including combat, economy, progression, and AI behaviors.
- Balance game mechanics to ensure a fair, challenging, and rewarding player experience.
- Collaborate with programmers, artists, and producers to implement and refine game systems.
- Conduct playtesting and iterate on designs based on feedback and data analysis.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall design vision of the project.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in game design, with a strong focus on systems design .
- Proven track record of designing and shipping successful titles, with examples of complex systems in your portfolio.
- Excellent documentation skills , with the ability to clearly communicate design concepts and mechanics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of player motivation and engagement.
- Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and scripting languages is a plus.
