About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Golf Course Superintendent to manage the meticulous upkeep and agronomic health of their prestigious golf course located in Southampton . This role is critical for ensuring an exceptional playing experience for members and guests. You will lead a team of groundskeepers, implement advanced turf management practices, and oversee all aspects of course maintenance, from irrigation and pest control to course renovation projects. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive annual agronomic plans for the golf course.
• Supervise, train, and manage a team of groundskeepers, assigning tasks and ensuring quality workmanship.
• Oversee the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal turf health and water conservation.
• Maintain and repair golf course machinery and equipment.
• Monitor course conditions daily, making adjustments as needed to ensure playability and aesthetic appeal.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in golf course management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Degree or diploma in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass science, irrigation systems, and pest/disease management.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management for course operations.
