Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Industrial Engineer to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role is critical for optimizing production processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and implementing strategic improvements across their manufacturing sites. You will lead projects focused on waste reduction, productivity gains, and quality enhancement, leveraging your expertise in industrial engineering principles. This position offers a flexible hybrid work model, combining on-site presence with remote work capabilities. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong track record of delivering impactful results in complex manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and redesign of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement and manage Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including value stream mapping and Kaizen events.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs and performance metrics.
• Oversee and guide junior engineers and technicians on process improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of improvements.
• Utilize data analysis and simulation tools to validate proposed process changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering , with a focus on process optimization and lean methodologies.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and facility layout design.
• Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena) and data analysis tools.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid capacity, balancing office and remote tasks.
