Senior Information Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to bolster their security operations center in Leeds . This role focuses on monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats and security incidents across the organization's diverse IT environment. You will play a key part in maintaining the security posture, investigating potential breaches, and improving security controls. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) and perform initial triage and investigation.
• Conduct detailed analysis of security incidents to determine scope, root cause, and impact.
• Develop and refine detection rules and threat hunting methodologies to proactively identify threats.
• Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans.
• Provide regular reports on security threats, vulnerabilities, and incident trends to management.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement remediation actions and security enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4-6 years of experience in a security operations or incident response role.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
• Strong understanding of common attack vectors, malware analysis, and network protocols.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
