About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Instructional Designer with a specialization in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education to join their innovative team in Cambridge . This critical role involves leading the design and development of cutting-edge e-learning courses and training programs that make complex STEM concepts accessible and engaging for learners. You will work collaboratively with subject matter experts, graphic designers, and developers to create impactful learning experiences. This position requires a deep understanding of pedagogical principles and a passion for advancing STEM education through digital mediums.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex STEM e-learning courses and curricula.
- Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Collaborate closely with STEM subject matter experts to translate technical content into accessible learning modules.
- Develop learning objectives, assessment strategies, and engaging activities for STEM topics.
- Manage instructional design projects, mentor junior designers, and ensure high-quality output and adherence to standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related STEM field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating success in STEM education.
- Expert knowledge of adult learning principles, learning theories, and instructional design methodologies.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
