About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecoms RF Design Engineer to join their innovative research and development team in Cambridge . This role focuses on the design, simulation, and optimization of radio frequency (RF) systems for cutting-edge telecommunications applications, including mobile networks and wireless communication technologies. You will play a key role in developing state-of-the-art RF solutions that ensure superior signal quality, coverage, and performance. Key Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and optimize RF components and systems for wireless communication applications.
- Conduct RF performance analysis, interference mitigation, and coverage planning using specialized software tools.
- Develop technical specifications for RF hardware, antennas, and propagation models.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate RF designs into complete systems.
- Perform field testing and measurements to validate RF designs and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in RF engineering, wireless technologies, and telecoms standards.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience in RF design and optimization for wireless systems (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi).
- Proficiency with RF simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of RF propagation, antenna theory, signal processing, and modulation techniques.
- Experience with RF test equipment and measurement techniques is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment in Cambridge .
