About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leicester . This role is pivotal in driving the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge mechanical systems. You will be instrumental in taking projects from concept through to production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance are met. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical components and systems, from initial concept to final production, utilizing CAD software.
- Perform detailed engineering analysis, including stress analysis , thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics, to validate designs and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Oversee and conduct rigorous testing and validation procedures, documenting results and implementing design modifications as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and successful product launches.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Manage project timelines and resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones and project completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and FEA tools.
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
