Senior Network Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Installation Technician to join their distributed technical team. This role is crucial for overseeing and executing the installation and configuration of complex network infrastructure for clients across various industries. Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will leverage your expertise to guide and support on-site technicians, troubleshoot advanced network issues, and ensure the seamless deployment of network solutions. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, exceptional technical acumen, and the ability to effectively manage projects and teams from a distance. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of network performance and reliability that our client is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical leadership and support for network installation and configuration projects.
• Develop and refine standardized procedures for network deployment and troubleshooting.
• Conduct remote site surveys and assessments to plan and optimize network installations.
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance, and security issues using remote monitoring tools.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices for network installation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure project requirements are met and customer expectations are exceeded.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in network installation , configuration, and troubleshooting (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
• Strong understanding of network protocols, topologies, and security best practices.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
• Experience in managing and guiding remote or field-based technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a remote setting.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
