Senior Network Security Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access control systems.
• Monitor network security events and respond to security incidents, performing analysis and remediation.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, developing remediation plans.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into all network designs and operations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies, recommending appropriate countermeasures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, with a focus on telecommunications environments.
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with firewall management (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), VPN technologies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and incident response procedures.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or GIAC are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
