About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Network Specialist to join their team in Nottingham . This role focuses on providing expert-level support, design input, and implementation for the company's advanced network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex network issues affecting LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
- Participate in the design and planning of network infrastructure upgrades and new deployments.
- Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and user satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Mentor junior network team members and share technical expertise.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a Network Specialist or similar advanced networking role.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies, and network security principles.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and virtual networking solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP or equivalent experience are preferred.
