About the Role
Our client, a leading firm in Management Consultancy , is seeking an accomplished Senior Operations Consultant to enhance their operational excellence offerings in Southampton . This role is crucial for helping clients optimize their business processes, supply chains, and overall operational efficiency. You will work closely with clients to identify bottlenecks, implement lean methodologies, and drive significant improvements in productivity, cost reduction, and service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of client operational processes, supply chains, and manufacturing/service delivery systems.
- Develop and implement strategies for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile.
- Manage client engagements, leading teams to deliver impactful operational transformation projects on time and within budget.
- Analyze operational data to identify key performance drivers and areas for optimization.
- Develop and deliver recommendations and implementation plans to senior management and operational teams.
- Foster strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying follow-on opportunities within the Southampton area and nationally.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations consulting, process improvement, or supply chain management, preferably within a consultancy.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies, with relevant certifications being a strong asset.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, essential for client engagement and stakeholder management.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
